Sharon Houston has worked comedy clubs all over the nation and commanded audiences from Manhattan to Los Angeles. Her club work has brought her rave reviews at The Improv, The Comedy and Magic Club and The Comedy Store in LA. Sharon got her chops in the mid-90s performing regularly at alternative NY venues like The Duplex, Surf Reality and Collective Unconscious where she collected a following that was very loyal. She also performed at New York mainstays like Stand Up New York and Caroline's Comedy Club. Though legendary in the gay community and the alternative scene, Sharon Houston has delighted mainstream audiences while appearing on most major networks. She has also appeared on shows like Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," "USO Tour," and "Make Me Laugh" as well as "National Lampoon's Funny Money" on the Game Show Network and MTV's "The Mandy Show", featured at the MTV Beach House.Sharon's talents are certainly not limited to traditional stand up. Her comedic acting has been seen on CBS's "Everybody Loves Raymond," MTV's "Spyder Games," and the critically acclaimed indie film "Significant Others" (which became a television series on Bravo), and was a series regular on Comedy Central's hidden camera show, "Con". Sharon has also lent her voice to such projects as MTV's "Daria," Disney's "An Elephant's Tale" and the Comedy Central Pilot "Urbania."Sharon has also made a name for herself in the writing world, penning and producing countless independent projects. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she works as a writer, producer and director. She's produced music programming for the new music network IMF: The International Music Feed, where she wrote, directed, and produced "IMF's Bodega Beats" starring Cypress Hill's B Real.Currently, she's directing the new series "The Chicas Project" for the Latin Music Video channel Mun 2.She will be making her debut as a series regular on MTV's "Punk'd" in April of 2007.
